Unless Dr. Peter Biar Ajak and others are released, there is no true peace
There is no true peace unless we see Dr. Peter Biar Ajak and others still under detention in unknown and unlawful places released.
NoDr.Peter Biar Ajak and others are not law breakers but the real law breakers are President and members of National Security who arbitrarily detain citizens without charges.
South Sudan will never be stable or at peace unless we do exactly what the law says.
Law is not a national security threat
but those who disobey the law are the threats to the national security.
We have agreed to found South Sudan on social contract as provided for under the preamble of our constitution.
By that virtue, the government guarantees our rights under the Bill of Rights to protect them. This means that the rights of the citizens of South Sudan must be respected and only limited or violated under exceptional circumstances which must be provided for under the law.
Detentions of citizens beyond the required period under the laws of the land is the violation of the constitution and the destruction of the country.
The government has a duty to release Dr. Peter Biar Ajak and others whether it likes it or not. It is not a privilege of the government to detain citizens as it wishes.
